Sleepless Poem
laying in my bed, thoughts in my head,
want to go to sleep
but thinking to deep,
try n close my eyes, but only start to cry,
feeling the pain it hurts,
like my heart has burst,
feeling down an low,
bet it really shows,
wish things would change,
and you mend my heart again,
so there is no pain inside,
and feel the love tonight,
all the things you said
still run through my head,
feeling no joy inside
you took away my pride,
some day i may learn
to keep my head on straight,
and keep the wall up high
so no one makes me cry,
hiding my heart from you,
and pray i never feel this blue,
putting my heart safe,
and keep it for a true love someday,
so just turn around, let me lay down
and maybe some day
a sleep i may get and rest with good sleep.
in the morning i will smile,
as a new day, makes things worth while,,,,,
