Prince of Peace Offered His Love To Me: More Than a Fairy Tale
From His glorious kingdom…
…the Prince of peace* came to earth
He reached down to me thru His wondrous birth
Offering His love-mercy’s grant of redemption-mirth
And eternal life’s bounty midst spiritual dearth!
Proposing His unconditional love, He presented Himself...
...neither as a knight in shining armor
Nor as a dashing debonair with riches’ glamor,
But as the Savior of compassion’s ardor
And a prophet prevailing over skeptics’ dishonor!
With His loving kindness, my soul…
…He marvelously sought out
By His imputed righteousness, I trusted Him, devoid of doubt;
Abiding in His heart, with faith, I’m now secured from hatred’s clout…
Hence, thru His prudence, I yield to His direction’s route!
Today and forever, I – His beloved will praise Him…
…in jubilant worship
Since He guides me thru His wise and caring leadership
Around His triumphant service-partnership
While together, we enjoy divine blissful fellowship!
*Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
