Prelude To An Exit: the Written Word Becomes Spoken (A Narrative.Part Two)

I stand here before you, trying to make this team,
Soliciting the opportunity to live my dream,
Submitting my words to you, so that you can view my theme,
Turning my words into light, so that this light can beam.
I come to pursue a common goal, with a common passion,
Delivering my verse, in an untraditional fashion,
Passing out my words, like a desired ration,
As each and every light continues to flash on.
I am ready, willing, and able to play my part,
Taking aim at my target, while throwing my words just like darts,
Submitting to the judgements of my beloved art,
Ready to see this all the way through to the finish from the start.
I do not "NEED" them to criticize or legitimize my words!
My words "FIRST" belong to me, so any self-doubt would sound absurd,
And, because I truly believe that they deserve to be heard,
I choose to share them with you, because of the passion that has been stirred!
There is a lot of passion, in both my writing and reciting.
In the darkness of the day, my words are good for lighting.
These Unidentified Flying Objects will make you report a sighting.
And, in the heat of the moment, these words are good for fighting.
I love the nervous adrenalin, that this moment makes me feel.
This is how you know that this love is really real.
This is where the scars of all doubting becomes healed,
And when it comes to food for thought, I am providing you a meal.
