Why wouldn’t you let me write a poem for Easter for you God?
I feel like I am wrestling with you
Don’t you want the attention?
Don’t you want the singing
And the appreciation
And the love
And the adoration?
I know not what You want
I am baffled
God
You know you did a lot for us
Died on the cross for us
So ultimately we can live
So infinitely we can be
God you did what no one can do
Take the sins of the whole world
And in its place a plate that was wiped clean
Do you want us to do something else?
