Love Poem: Nightfall
Janice Canerdy Avatar

Nightfall

Some feel a stab of loneliness
when shades of night are falling.
			As twilight silently descends,
they hear Gloom’s chill voice calling.

Some hear Love call at twilight time.
			Their loneliness is ending.
They’ll soon keep their sweet rendezvous.
Light wanes and joy is pending.

			For lovers twilight means romance,
			long kisses, and slow dances.
For loners it means one more night
			of mourning love’s lost chances.
