Love Came Down

Let all of us remember the truth of Christmas day.
Our god sent his Son upon this Earth, we did pray.
Victims we were of our own predominate selfish way.
Evangelical visitations spread announcements, they say.

Calmness spread over the earth that night with no dismay.
Angels appeared to wise men along with a starlit display.
Many followed the travelers, as they traced a single ray.
Each one bringing gifts of praise, presented where he lay.

Delivering a powerful presence, in clothes tattered and frayed.
Opening hearts and souls, with his power of glory displayed.
Wielding smiles of joy to all that believed the word conveyed.
Nearer to their God, they felt his gift to all, as they all prayed.
