Time To Paint the Trees
Late September, fairies dance,
sensing Autumn's on Her way.
And at this time, they gather
to honor Her special day.
They hail the approaching Queen,
and yet, they feel a bit blue.
For upon Her arrival,
they must bid Summer adieu.
Jack Frost brought a magic brush
to dip into Autumn's ink.
And transform the falling leaves,
coloring each in a blink.
Realizing Fall's arrived,
Summer slowly slips away.
For it's time to paint the trees;
and the fairies came to play.
Lush greens morph into orange;
changing color overnight.
And intricate mosaics
are revealed with dawn's first light.
