I'm a poet, but I just can't write today
please dear God can you give me the words to say
Could you help me Lord,
and bring joy my way
A touch from You is all that I need
To be a blessing is my one and only dream
rain Your love on me today
and make these feelings go away
I'm the poet, but you've been my words all along
you've been the one to plant all these songs
you are the words that I speak
Could you help me Lord, it's joy that I seek
A touch from You is all that I need
So would You help me, and set me free
And rain Your love on me, so I can finally be made clean
So without you I am just a useless vessel for you
But with your help I can do anything that you have me to do
A touch from You is all that I need
To be a blessing is my one and only plea
With a touch from You, I know that I can be made clean
So rain Your love down now, and cleanse this dying soul free
Jesus you are the seed that I need
you are the blessing for me
So would You help this feeble,and weary soul
And rain Your love on me so I can finally be made whole
