If Only You Knew
If only you knew how
often I've dreamt of you.
And my most hopeful wish
is that those dreams come true.
If only you could hear
my throbbing heart beating.
And how my pulse races
at every chance meeting.
If only you believed
I found love at first sight.
For then, you may be more
sympatric to my plight.
If only fantasies
could somehow become real.
And I could find the words
to tell you how I feel.
If only you dreamt of
me as I dream of you.
For then; just imagine
all the things we would do.
