I Need Your Love and Your Kiss To Bring Me Back To Life

The path for you was already laid down
My wishing well was overflowing and I fell in and drowned
Heaven laughed at me and wouldn’t let me stay
Hell was overcrowded and turned me away

I’ve been there and back putting up with pain and strife
I need your love and your kiss to bring me back to life

I met the boatman he had a hole in his bow
Then came death and he said he was busy now
Allah was preaching and Buddha had to go to a lunch
Where should I go next I hadn’t a clue or hunch

I’ve been there and back putting up with pain and strife
I need your love and your kiss to bring me back to life

I’ve been there and back putting up with pain and strife
I need your love and your kiss to bring me back to life
Shiva was dancing and the Greeks were mad
I just wanted to get back to the world I had

I’ve been there and back putting up with pain and strife
I need your love and your kiss to bring me back to life

I didn’t belong here I was lost and I was in doubt
Then all the religious deities joined together to throw me out
They were together Catholic Protestant Muslim Buddhist and Jew
Then I woke up and I was together again with you

I’ve been there and back putting up with pain and strife
I need your love and your kiss to bring me back to life
