I Felt It Too, Walking Away

I walked away from the cold words trying to explain. I felt the strain.
Putting some distance between us.
It was easier for you. True story told its cold and the tears freeze like ice cubes. As we
dream of looking into each other’s eyes with wonderful thoughts. There was something,
something’s different going on.
It’s funny how life put us through these changes just to learn, reaching and teaching us
how we should be but she couldn’t change her mind as to who she wanted to be. No role to
play, just white sheets. She refused to be a part of my hard times and blinded by her…
whatever it was that she wanted. Most times you have to forget pain.
Not for the greater good of something to believe in, the selfish thoughts just took over.
Over taking emotional grips and breaking a connection a bond that once was strong.
Can’t help but to think what we went through. If it was up to you the finger points in my
direction and what other ways can I defend myself besides through my poetry.
Do you understand now?
I’m photogenic and incline to improve myself. I notice things and felt the need.
I believe in things and you believe in other things that doesn’t makes us the same. We
voiced our options about love and your right maybe….
Just maybe the OTHERS can make you happier than me fighting the losing battle of trying
to prove my LOVE for you. Proving to you that I did try. Oh yes I’m just a man and at the
same time I have always embrace my life struggles like a man should. How could this be,
you saying that you’re loving me? She couldn’t stand by me just wasn’t strong enough
herself? This would be the truth of how things became this way.
And FINALLY I felt it, as I walk away.
