Love Poem: I Don'T Need You

I Don'T Need You

In a marital bond
A fool is the person
A man or a woman
Who takes for granted
The one who gives love
The one who adores you
The one who forgives you
Time and time, again
You kill love slowly
Send the message clearly
“I do not need you"
When the cup is full
They will walk out on you
One wants to feel needed
Even dogs when mistreated
Will avoid you at all costs
Pay attention to your partner
Most especially, the quiet ones
Learn how to communicate
Keeping no secrets
Hiding no friendships
No matter how many years
The marriage has held
Little cracks may present
Take nothing for granted
Or suffer the consequence
The loss of your best friend
