Freedom-Propelled Love
Freedom
anchored upon truth
propels heart to choose
what's right midst performance of trust
surmounting doubts and vanquishing fears
conquering selfishness of pride’s dominion
toward joy, worth sharing
never to be cherished alone.
Freely loving God
constrained* by His compassion
makes possible caring with earnest concern
as we strive in grace to keep on
reaching-out along mercy’s wisdom
braced by the Sovereign's gracious hand
enabling faith’s confidence
against vain show.
