Love Poem: Covid 19

Covid 19

Mother Nature does not need us
and we just don’t get it

We living in a time where staying away from people you care about is a sign of love
Hugging each other is a weapon of mass destruction
Human kind is confined to their dwelling places
As the cats, dogs and Durban monkeys play on our lawn

We stock up our pantries with food as we prepare to hibernate like little animals

We sit with our hands gloved,
Our mouths and noses are covered as we told not to touch anything like little children
Both rich and poor, young and old, royalty and commoners

We are all grounded

Sit down with your hands on your laps don’t touch anything
Go to your room don’t say a word

Churches , casinos,schools are closed
Life as we know it has stopped
Yet one factor about life remains constant and exponential

Death.

Watch and most importantly listen as Mother Nature teaches us a lesson on how to love.

It’s not enough to send a message on a birthday or see your loved ones only when it’s convenient for you!
It’s not enough to forget about the elderly as fragile as they are.

It’s not good enough!

We don’t need to be here. Mother Nature claims claims what’s hers.
The grass continues to grow ,
birds continue to sing ,
Water continue continues to flow

Mother Nature is free of our distructive behavior and malice ways.
Humans are just byproduct of this earth
We don’t have to be here
Everything will continue as normal
YOU don’t have to be here
Everything will still continue as normal
It’s a privilege to be here.

Appreciate to be here.
