Chasing Tomorrows

Memories, once they're stirred, are often bittersweet. For lovers, break their word, playing games of deceit. Although your heart's in pain, fate forces you to smile. But pretense is in vain, and only lasts a while. As trust slowly weakens, you lie like all the rest. And depression deepens, for you're failing love's test. When drowning in sorrows, sanity starts to drift. And chasing tomorrows, the sands of time run swift.
