Love Poem: Cause of Fate

Cause of Fate

A drop of water spun from its cause
Spilled into the ocean bewildered of its loss

“Won’t you tell me what the angels sing?
To forget sorrows and follies against the summer wind
Through October’s fall, and winter’s squall
Onto the sunken cause of my faith’s swale
For, that which I draggle, I know naught
And that which I serve, I can hardly pursue
No more do I live, do I breathe wail
Cause is my fate, my destiny’s avail
I waltz through riven seasons, mingle softly to and fro
I thunder down brumal days
Onto the merry months of May, dreary days of frost and frore
Through spring’s squall and summer’s drawl
Never against nature’s boulevard”
