My Life
Played in the back yard when I was a kid
Stared at the stars up above
Didn't have much, but we had all that we needed
We had a house full of love
Went to a school that taught about Jesus
Start every day with a prayer
Taught to be thankful and love one another
We only live when we care
Flew over mountains and sailed the oceans
Stood proud when our flag was unfurled
Stood at the crossroads unsure where to go
Stood at the top of the world
Enjoyed every moment, lived life to the fullest
Sometimes believed I could fly
Reached down inside me to the depths of my soul
Sometimes I reached for the sky.
