Let Us Sing You a Song To Break Your Heart.

There, there, love,
let us sing you a song to break your heart.

Ashes ring around the rosie
And London Bridge is falling down.
Humpty Dumpty is broken to pieces
Jack and Jill roll dead down the hill.

Sprat is starving, his Misses is coding
And Wednesday’s child is meant for grief.
Cradle and baby were abandoned in treetops high
And when its 11, old man knick-knacks to heaven.

For it is these things I’ll sing you
To comfort your weary little heart.
What horrors you must know as young
To rest in these stories of life to come.

Happiness comes and goes
And we don’t live on forever.
You live, you love, you break, you die
Or so I’ll tell you in nursery rhymes.
