Love Poem: I Wish I Had a Crocodile

I Wish I Had a Crocodile

I wish I had a crocodile,
Our walks would be such fun;
I’d keep him on a metal chain,
And let him off to run.

He’d play with other crocodiles,
And chase the balls I threw;
At home he’d sleep upon my bed,
Or curl up with my shoe.

I’d take him to a training class,
He’d walk and never pull;
I’d love a cuddly crocodile -
My ‘gator’s rather dull.
