Embracing a Dream
Today I'm feeling overwhelmed by love,
beyond happiness; I'm soaring above.
It's gentle and yet harbors such power,
lingering like the scent of a flower.
I thought that I understood who I was,
until I felt the magic that love does.
I cannot put my feelings into words,
they eclipse the sun and outfly the birds.
I opened my heart, accepting love's gift,
and my inhibitions were set adrift.
It's such an extraordinary feeling,
love completes me and yet, leaves me reeling.
I'm afloat on billowing clouds of bliss
embracing a dream, blessed by a kiss.
