Love Poem: Elephant

Elephant

I guess that's why they call it the blues
Because it's blue
A tiny dancer
Dancing a jig
Because life is better with you in the world
Your song
For us
That what which
Wonderful adorned
A ship on which to sail
A life put down in words
That I never got across
Because I was to scared
To tell
Of love
And loss
Rocket's ignite
When the failing light and time
Have burnt to the earth
Goodbye to looking up
And all the other stuff I took for granted
Stoke the oil in gasping lanterns
And bring forth the Elephant Trumpet
My King is dead
Long live the night
In heaven
