Love Poem: Ablaze

Ablaze

My garden of love I set ablaze,
By spark of a word that should not have been said,
Harsh words in the letter he should not have read,
A garden so dear was now ablaze!

The angel of love that flew away,
Can prudence retract that soul that has been lost?
From beyond the winding roads in deep woods vast?
That angel of love I cast away!

To see romance ride in through the door,
Tender bouquet of roses stare from the vase,
These symbol of endearment are at a loss,
To see him walk out of the same door!

My diamond ring lies deep in snake den,
Well measured should have been the voice of reason,
How misunderstanding in love breeds treason!
I dropped my cherished love in snake den!

Guard your love with tender palms of care,
Let this be known to all and may this be preached,
That words once spoken in love can’t be retrieved,
let love stay aglow in palms of care!
