A Vessel For the Best Part of Me

How do you forget something that you never even want to forget? How do you let go of a loss that means more than life to what was left How do you carry all of those burdens and dried-up tears or the sorrows? When what you got today, you will get exactly the same things, tomorrow It took me awhile to get to where I was comfortable to breathe, freely The process was slower than water dripping from a broken faucet Where every sound tethers in the heart, like a melody to a song And after a while you find yourself singing along, drowning Within every gasped… Contemplating, within every sigh! And honestly, all that sighing, can be very haughty And haughtily absorbing like clouds in the sky To put it mildly, that’s the time to let it go Let the rain fall where they may Just be a vessel for every drop Wilbs 8-17-16
