Love Poem: A Time

A Time

A love song comes down wailing
sinks a ship that should be sailing
and the clouds protest the bravest of the lost souls

who could tell you where to go
I would have liked to eventhough
I guess we are just lost about ourselves

Before and afterall
faster than a cannonball
we all fell down around

dusted off and there you go
loved you more even so
but guess we found out in the end

beneath the sky and under stars
love fell out and gave us scars
better off without don't you know

can't feel this or any pain
stumbled back and laughed again
bet you saw this coming, didn't you

bring it up and back some more
wonder what it's all for
keep this dream alive

Then someday wake up to this
someone new to hold and kiss
but her face looks just like yours

why some die and why some fall
never know but that's not all
need to find somewhere to hide

crouch down low to bury me
the right way out is hard to see
I'll get there with time

hold me back if you dare
just for once like you care
tell me no more of this true

talk to me and lead me wrong
promise you it won't take long
just go with me and find

no one else can hear you now
we'll find that out somehow
that forgotten piece of love

I hope you remember when
that love was there even then
it's here now so I'm told

So take the day and waste away
nothing left for me to say
just say goodbye to me one last time
