Love Poem: A Stairway In the Sky

A Stairway In the Sky

I climbed a stairway high into the sky,
blowing a kiss, I had no tears to cry.
In a moment, all I knew left behind.
On this quest, I felt blessed. Joy I would find.
With a gentle nudge, my feet stepped on air,
enveloped in truth, not fully aware.
God pulled me higher as I reached for light.
Energy and peace, His gifts of insight.
Communing with Him, one with creation,
unexplainable peace, pure elation.
Warm winds fell silent.Clouds parted for me.
The sun shined down, I breathed eternity.
When I turned back, I envisioned my life,
the glory of dawn, love, heartache and strife.
My time was not done. I had more to do,
to run in the wind and swim seas of blue,
to stumble and fall, then rise up again,
to be a mother, a mentor and friend.
He asked me to love and worship Him more,
forgive, live in grace, find peace and explore.
Following, I promised to seek out the light,
to pray, live fully and never lose sight
of this time with Him, His love and His face,
the beauty, connection, His perfect embrace.
