A Poet's Dream

A Poet’s Dream

Let me hear what you say (but not have to obey)
if you dream, I could love you, dream you could love me;
not with love that imprisons but burns to live free!
Trust through view (from next hill?), Love returns if it will!

Trust explorers who find Love won’t lust for a glove
should uncertainties blossom like weeds through the snow
though it is not their season (when no seed should grow?)
Can what Nature adores be what Nurture abhors?

May night’s stars shine, a guide, no Love shine with less pride,
let us trust in Love’s process as many before
us have done! Not complain with loud voice there’s not more
as some do and we might (or consider Love blight!)

Like some stars, when tale’s told, in Love’s ending there’s gold!
But star’s light will continue till God calls a halt
(if God does) to its infinite flight! That’s a fault?
Oh, let all praise play part that’s called back to God’s heart!
