A Lover, Yet a Stranger

I don’t know what would happen years from now
Who’s to say that I won’t forget you?
Maybe your face won’t be clear to me
And in my mind you’ll remain a stranger to me

Many years have… passed me by… since I’ve seen you
I don’t know… if I have… seen you recently
But every time that I take a glance at you
Something inside me stirs

However, I don’t really know you
So why does my heart pound within me so?
I don’t ever recall me with you
For my mind is telling me that you’re a stranger

Don’t be so… frustrated… and disappointed
I haven’t… done anything… to offend you
I just don’t remember your face
But it seems my heart does

However, I don’t really know you
But why do I feel relaxed around you?
Everything just seems so confusing
But my mind keeps telling me that you’re a stranger

However, I don’t really know you
But why do I get excited around you?
I feel my heart is toying with me
Because my mind tells me otherwise
But why would my heart beat within me so?
I must know you in someway
My mind tells me that you’re a stranger
But my heart insists that I really love you
