Love Poem: A Look Within

A Look Within

So much attention,
but no love about.

Attracting is easy,
it's forever I doubt.

It's the promise that dies.
as fast as it's made.

That eternal love,
that eventually fades.

Words shouldn't be spoken,
if intentions aren't there.

Don't tell me you love me,
just to see if I care.

On my sleeve I wear my heart,
I am an open book.

If you want to know how I feel,
just take the time to look.

I'm out here softly knocking,
an opportunity so I'm told.

See first my heart that lies within,
then to you my beauty unfolds.
