A Lighthouse Keeper's Tale - P2

THE LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER’S TALE - PART 2

The lighthouse keeper been of a mature stance
Did not want to lead his lady a merry old dance

He loved her pure and honest, but: feisty heart
For the relationship to last they had to be apart

His away job was perfect but; for her much gap
So to keep her busy he filled children on her lap

Each filled their duty to one another with pure ardour
She was all over him; once, he docked at the harbour

Can you see my lines are getting as out of sync
Thoughts of their sex life, turning me quite pink

But; there really was a moral, to my real reason
True love, this lighthouse keeper wasn’t teasing

Gave her all the children, that, she ever wanted
Absence; made love stronger, once they parted

He kept her secure, a house and, all of his wage
Not once another man; did, she think to engage

This marriage; as solid as a lighthouse on a rock
Besides, she looked rite nice in a maternity frock
