Love Poem: A Lesson From God

A Lesson From God

This day I sought a peace from a totally different kind
For I once was lost but now I'm found
A house filled with smoke
We both paused to help clear the air
My one regret is Summer's end
Left behind a very good friend,
Someone with whom you can depend
We have no clear ties to the parting quest
A soft shoulder to cry on
The perfume that you left out on your sofa
Twist the cork off & let's celebrate
This love was fought in which we both shall stand
A lesson from God
There's a true friend with whom you can depend

One rain drop fell out on the patio
The faint in heart may have to run away and hide
A passerby spotted a big grey owl
Where is the love when things go wrong
Sorrow not for the dead because it's too late then
That made my feelings hurt
It's time for a new career
The ultimate suprise to a brand new year
A hoot of an owl from a big oak tree
There is something in me that wants to die
Like an injured seagull will surely tell me which direction to take
When one is given a gift there can be no time to waste
An injured tongue can often leave you with such a bitter taste
Seek the truth with all your heart
For when you are dead ther can be no more fresh start
Let the ultimate surprise remove the scales from your blinded eyes.
