Love Poem: A Kind Face

A Kind Face

Your smile is the reason I make new friends
It radiates sunshine that comes from within
Your eyes are the color of a clear, blue sky
Filling the room with feelings that never lie

Your colors are bound up in a vivid array
A kaleidoscope of violets, pinks, yellows and
Many more that tell the world you’re alive
With a bright and bold warmth of compassion

Your wisdom is seen in the hints of wrinkled
Creases at your brow, lines that foretell of all
The memories of weary heartbreaks you’ve felt
And little thoughts that have uttered deep regret

Your love lights up the sparkle in your eyes
Filling them with hope and healing that is alive
And sends the listener into a heartfelt warmth
That comes from knowing they are truly loved

Your brilliance isn’t simple knowledge or degrees
It’s the gentle feelings that are inspired by a breeze,
A touch of hope, a whisper of faith, a wisp of love
Feelings pure and perfectly aware of their honesty

Your joy can be felt when someone looks at you
I know that it reverberates through the one who says
You are truly a friend to me, a friend that is loyal
And faithful and willing to give from the heart and soul

Your light isn’t found by looking toward the sunshine
It is found glowing in your own heart’s radiance
The feelings that flow from you are ones that God inspires
And they can only be captured on the lens of kindness
