A heart never likes to lose
I had a peace of mind
Work and play my game
Had some ups and downs
But it always end the same
There were days
That would bring me down
But I pick myself up
Didn’t need no one around
And I learn be strong
Doing it since a child
Had survive on my own
Like a lion does in the wild
Loneliness is all I knew
It became my close friend
We learn to get along
Never want our friendship to end
Love never crosses my mind
Just did not have the time
I convince my heart
That love was a crime
Kept to my self
And stayed out of sight
If I see love would
Hide like an owl in the night
Then one day saw someone
And something when wrong
Try to hold on to my heart
But I was no longer strong
All my reasons
Made no sense again
Love came over my life
Pouring Like the rain
And just like the sea
Can’t stop the tide
I couldn’t stop my heart
From letting love inside
So I will give love a try
Too late to choose
And I will play to win
