A Focus On Insane Love

How long has it been since the stars have gone?
Where is my hope, my love, my faith, my light?
Why is it always darkest before dawn?

I'm the ugly duckling, I am no swan.
I hold unto your shadow in the night.
How long has it been since the stars have gone?

I fear I may have become panic's spawn,
My dark mind has loosened, no longer tight,
Why is it always darkest before dawn?

And when the morning comes I am withdrawn
I breathe out of habit, I breathe in spite.
How long has it been since the stars have gone?

I stifle my life with merely a yawn
I try hard to prove everything's all right.
How long has it been since the stars have gone?
Why is it always darkest before dawn?

In the morning I become someone new
I lie and lay in your arms bathed in tears.
Hearing you breathe in the dark sky of blue.

Is this love is tainted with morning dew?
You give into my love, release my fears
In the morning I become someone new.

I have forgotten far more than I knew.
Been lost in this darkened abyss for years.
Hearing you breathe in the dark sky of blue.

Kick me once in the back when you are through.
Stab me with yesterday's memory shears.
In the morning I become someone new.

Make my pale pink skin a much darker hue.
Scream my shame once and again in my ears.
In the morning I become someone new,
Hearing you breathe in the dark sky of blue.

Alas, the day becomes purple and dark.
As I await the last word of the day.
Shoot at me your arrow, I am your mark.

What once was light, has become stark
My blue sky has become a blackened gray,
Alas, the day becomes purple and dark.

You are the fire; I, merely the spark.
I promise to stick by you come what may,
Shoot at me your arrow, I am your mark.

I'll be the meaty bait, you be the shark.
Just always say that next to me you'll stay.
Alas, the day becomes purple and dark.

Love isn't always a walk in the park.
But next to you I long to rest and lay,
Alas, the day becomes purple and dark.
Shoot at me your arrow, I am your mark.
