A Dream Wishing To Come True
I wish you could really see me for what I can be,
My love for you was not a planned thing,
But I ran with it because it was new and exciting,
And now all I want to do is just be there for you.
That's what I hope you see,
That's what I pray it takes for you to love me,
But you keep the past in sight and in the front of your mind,
So no matter how hard I try,
For me you remain blind to see that I can be more than any one before,
But I guess I'm just a dream wishing to come true to live in your reality.
And somewhere over the rainbow there is a you and I,
That together,
We laugh and cry and love one another as we get lost in the stars at night,
But before that can be,
I know the struggle is real in order for you to be free,
Because I know you have scars no one else can see,
And I know they still slowly bleed,
And you wish they would just heal,
Our experiences are not the same but I get how you feel.
And I wish I could help and take away the pain,
