A Boy

I saw a boy. Not just any ordinary boy. His skin was blue and his eyes were ice. He was covered in frost, from his head down to his toes. I remember asking myself if his heart is as cold.
I don't think he saw me. I'm invisible you see. Even I can no longer see me.
I observed this boy. His tall lanky frame. I observed this boy who I did not know his name. He was surrounded by snow. His foot prints were ice. The scenery around him became his own winter paradise.
His only companion was a dove just as white. The dove would sit on his shoulder and guard him over night. The dove could see me where the boy could not. Even if he saw me I would be his last thought.
See I fell in love with this boy made entirely of ice. I fell in love with a boy with white hair and eyes that glowed in the night.
But I could never be loved by this boy I called Ice. Because for I am a flame that will be his last light.
